JOB DESCRIPTION


Possess a minimum of 10 years in ground up commercial building construction, with project valuations between 5 and 30 million dollars. Proven leader with great verbal and communication skills. Willing to travel throughout the state of Texas. Position requires a strong knowledge of the market, geographical area and the subcontractor base in the area that relates to the type of projects we build. Must possess a strong work ethic with a high level of integrity. Must be able to work within a team environment. Resume must demonstrate a past history of long term employment and not be a list of short-term engagements. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be highly self motivated and have a Type 'A' personality.

Superintendent: Must possess strong working knowledge in all of the following areas:

  • Plan reading and detail discernment
  • OSHA Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Labor Production and Cost Control
  • Responsible for overall field operations
  • Develop and maintain relationships that secure repeat business with clients, Architects, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Construction scheduling and updating
  • Conduct project meetings with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Quality Control procedures and submittal tracking process
  • Coordinate the initial set-up and disconnection of all project utilities
  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills
  • Perform horizontal and vertical layout
  • Obtain building permits, track inspections, and certifications of occupancy
  • Review all testing reports for compliance and correction of any deficiencies
  • Manage the project close-out process for timely turnover of all required as-built plans and submittals
  • Monitor and report materials being delivered to the site
  • Conduct weekly job site safety meetings
  • Maintain a clean and neat job-site
  • Demonstrate good computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred knowledge of Expedition (Oracle), Autocad, Primivera and Total Station
  • Perform and administer punch lists
  • Mentor and train Assistants
  • Assist the Project Manager as required
  • Track all warranty items on completed projects
  • Approve and code project purchases and invoices for accounting
  • Receive, review, and approve all subcontractor and supplier pay applications
  • Review final costs with project team, executives and accounting
  • Produce the project description sheet at the end of each projects
  • Must be able to pass a public entity background check
